Futoshiki Unlimited is a number logic puzzle that combines Sudoku-style rules with inequality clues. Fill every cell with the correct number while making sure no value repeats in the same row or column. The < and > signs add an extra challenge by showing which neighboring number must be smaller or larger.
HOW TO PLAY FUTOSHIKI UNLIMITED
Fill the grid
Choose an empty cell and enter a number. Depending on the grid size, you will use numbers from 1 to 4, 1 to 5, and so on up to 1 to 9.
Follow three basic rules
- Each number can appear only once in every row.
- Each number can appear only once in every column.
- All < and > inequality signs must be satisfied.
You can also place multiple possible numbers in a cell while solving, then remove them as you narrow down the correct answer.
CHOOSE YOUR DIFFICULTY
Futoshiki Unlimited offers different board sizes from 4x4 to 9x9. A 4x4 puzzle is a good starting point for learning the rules, while larger boards require more deduction and careful number placement.
TIPS AND TRICKS
- Use logic before guessing
- Start with rows and columns that already contain several numbers.
- Check inequality signs before placing a number.
- Eliminate values already used in the same row or column.
- Use candidate numbers when you are unsure.
- Look at multiple inequality clues together to narrow your options.
- Recheck both rows and columns before confirming difficult moves.
