Zip is a path-based logic puzzle where one continuous line must cover the entire grid. Start at 1, connect the numbered cells in ascending order, and finish at the highest number. The catch is that every cell must be visited exactly once, the path cannot cross itself, and walls cannot be crossed.
The rules are simple, but finding the one correct route requires careful planning.
CONNECT EVERY CELL
Begin at 1 and drag through neighboring cells to create your path. You can move horizontally or vertically, but never diagonally.
As you move, keep these rules in mind:
- Connect 1, 2, 3, 4, and the remaining numbers in order.
- Cover every cell exactly once.
- Never cross or reuse your path.
- Do not pass through walls.
- Finish on the highest numbered cell.
Made a wrong turn? Drag backward to erase part of the route or cut the path at an earlier cell and continue from there.
Game Modes
Daily mode offers one shared puzzle each day, with grid sizes changing throughout the week. Completing the current puzzle contributes to your streak.
In Unlimited mode, you can generate new puzzles whenever you want, with boards ranging from 5x5 to 8x8 and three difficulty levels. The Archive also lets you revisit previous daily challenges.
TIPS AND TRICKS
- Plan before you drag
- Check corners and edges first because they have fewer possible exits.
- Avoid creating isolated empty cells.
- Never divide unused spaces into disconnected areas.
- Use walls to predict where the path can and cannot turn.
- Look ahead to the next numbered cell before choosing a direction.
- Remember that the direct route is not always the correct one.
- Undo early when a path creates an obvious dead end.
