Squardle is a 2D version of Wordle that asks you to solve 6 secret words scattered horizontally and vertically on a crossword-style grid. You will only get 10 chances to guess the right words. But if you guess the right secret words, the game will give you more chances to guess.
The board starts out empty.
You put your first guess in the first row and column.
Getting a hit (green) means that the letter stays where it is. Don't try to figure it out again.
When you guess a letter, a small colored box stays on the screen as a hint. Yellow indicates it's on the other place of that row, red indicates it's on the other place of that column, orange indicates it's on both sides, white indicates it's somewhere else in the puzzle but not in that row or column, and black indicates it's not on the puzzle.
Every word you figure out gives you one more chance.
You start with 10 chances to guess. When you make a guess, you are given a row and a column to put it in. (There will be small arrows at the top and sides of the screen.)
