Every day, Box Office Game challenges players to guess the top five highest-grossing movies in the US box office for the given week (example: August 12, 2009).
This web-based Box Office Game, like Worldle, gives you a new puzzle every day. You're not trying to guess a word or solve a math problem. Instead, you're trying to guess the top five movies at the box office for a certain weekend. You'll see the name of the studio that released the film, as well as the week's box office results and the film's overall earnings. If you pick the right one of the five movies on the list, you'll get 200 points. That's a lot of data, and it's the starting point for a game.
If you need a hint, you can give up points to see the tagline, the director, the three main actors, the budget, the genre, and the final gross. If you're really stuck (and willing to give up 180 of the possible 200 points for each entry), you can look at a summary of what happened (which may, inadvertently, reveal the title).
Basically, you want to get all five and keep as many points as possible. Have fun!
