It's time to play Alphabeticle, an online word guessing game. In this game, you must guess the secret word. If you enter a word as a guess, you'll find out if it comes before or after the secret word in the alphabet. Keep guessing until you're getting close to the secret word.
In Alphabeticle, you have to try to figure out the four-letter word in five tries. All guesses need to be 4-letter words (this is a list of common words in our dictionary). Each box will be marked to indicate which letter should be in it based on the alphabetical direction of the guess.
There are two ways to play Alphabeticle. "One a Day" gives everyone the same secret word to guess each day. "Continuous Play" will choose a secret word to guess at random, and you can play it as many times as you want each day. (Not every player will have the same secret words.)
Finally, there are two modes: Easy and Normal. In Easy mode, you'll see any accurate initial letters that come between your guess and the hidden word; in Normal mode, you won't. You can change the mode by clicking the button below or on the Info page.
