Swifties may be proud of how well they know Taylor Swift's songs, but can they tell which song it is just by listening to the first seconds? This new Heardle version is perfect for you if you think you're up to the challenge. TayHeardle is a musical game in which the player has six chances to guess the title of a Taylor Swift song based on just a few seconds of the song.
Similar games like One Direction Heardle, Harry Styles Heardle, and BTS Heardle served as inspiration for this new version. If you don't know how TayHeardle works, it's like Wordle but with music. It follows the same basic rules. Starting with a one-second sample of every song, a player has six chances to guess the song of the day.
With each wrong guess, you can hear another second of the song to help you figure out what it is. The length of the clips gets longer with each try, starting at one second, going up to two seconds (+1), four seconds (+2), seven seconds (+3), 11 seconds (+4), and finally 16 seconds (+5).
Players can also use the 'Skip' button in this version. By skipping to the next second of the song, you don't have to guess and waste your time. Usually, the clips used for the game come from the beginning of the song, but you can also choose from any other section. All of the singles in the game come from SoundCloud, so you won't be able to play them if your location doesn't support them.
Simply type in the name of the song, and the game will give you a list of titles that match. At midnight each day, the game resets for each player's timezone, like in every other Wordle spin-off. You won't be able to guess the next song until the next day.
